Merry Christmas!

These past few weeks have been hectic! Aidan has been real poorly :-( We have had a few trips to A&E with him too! Anyway hes on the mend now i fink!
Although he has been so excited during xmas week hes even given himself two asthma attacks! Bless his cottons!

Anyway Christmas day went well! Antonia was up @ 4 !!!!! anyway i managed to say through gritted teeth get back to bed! and she went! Although she tells me she played her DS until 7am LOL!

Kiddies were spoilt rotten again! I say every year we will cut down but be dont *blush*

I have also been very busy with a wedding stationary order - 50 invites - 70 OOS, name place thingies and a table plan, unfortunatley the pics i took did not save on the memory card :-( so very upset about it :-(

A BIG MEET !!!

Well the time has finally come for the "Norty Crew" to all meet face to face!

I am so excited i cant even put it into words LOL

The meet is being held in the Hilton Hotel Blackpool (5 mins down the road from me - how lucky am i!)

We have a room booked for a BIG crafting session on the Saturday! Not sure how much we will get done mind you *wink*

Will be sure to report back with lots of pics of us all getting upto mischief LOL

Oh nearly forgot to say .... its the big day tomorrow for my OP, so wont be around much this week, hope your all crafting hard LOL

OK We have had such a weird couple of months, from happies to saddies and back again! I really dont know where to start ..............

Crafting has taken a real back seat i am afraid to say, i have been completing the CJs i am in and thats about it until this last week :)

Antonia my DD spent 3 weeks in Alicante at the start of the hols! Then we went to join her for the last 10 day, what a wonderful place! We stayed in a new complex where my dad has a Villa (yeah should have said my DD was staying with him really shouldnt i)

The compelex was called ELDORADO lol lol

Then the day we came home we found a lump on the dog :-(
Took her to the vet that afternoon and he says she needs op to see if its cancer!
Well all went well during the op and the first 3 days she was fine! Then she got poorly :-( (apparently it was gastro - we had a rough few days then with her)

The results came back 5 days later that it was a very rare form of historical cancer and its the most aggressive form eva apparently! So as you can guess we were all hysterical!

And i had the job of going to tell the family (which was the hardest thing i have have ever had to do!
If you have not got a dog/cat then you prob think i am barking! But of you do have one then you will know where i was coming from.

So with it being such a rare form of cancer they have no details to give us! No time, no treatement no nothing! Which i dont know if its a good or bad thing!

THEN .... my poor niece tipped a bucket full of boiling hot water over herself! Burnt really bad! My Sister was hysterical as you can only imagine! She has only just learnt to crawl! So she is still very young! Anyway shes coping ok at then min!


and THEN !!!! ...........

I have had 8 stitches in may hand! AWCH is all i can think about!
I was washing up and sliced through the webbed bit inbetween my little finger and the next one! Straight to the hosp! and was in and out within an hour and half not bad going! Must have seen how white i was and thought we'll get rid of her b4 shes sprawled out on the floor needing a bed too! LOL

anyway had the stitches out about a week ago and it split open nearly srtaight away so its been a tough few weeks not having a right hand!

anyway today is the first day i feel its healing proper! so fingers crossed

Hubby bought me a BIA for my birfday :-) what a fabby hubby!

so i have made a CJ for the WEYW CJ on UKS

Its a bit different as we have to challenge each person in the circle .. so i thought of enclosing sealed envelopes for them to chose which will hold a colour for them to do their LO (and only use that colour)

I am sure i have seen a CJ like this b4 somewhere ...not really sure ... shame really wish i could give credit where its due, i doubt its all my thinking LOL

ok we had great xmas and new year! Hope you all did too!
although i got that flue bug thingie the week b4 xmas and still had to work and everything else on top, i really dont know how i got through some days u know LOL

Christmas is so close now, and i am even getting a little excited!

Kids are really wound up! We managed to put our tree up on Sunday, its looking fabby BTW!

I cant post any pics of any creations as we still have no Camera! BUT i am sure we will be getting one b4 xmas *wink* !!

I cant see me posting again now before the big day as i have been asked to work more hours in work and i still have a hell of allot to get done b4 the 24th!

OK it seems all work this week! It went grand on my first day @ Girl Fridays :)
Did lots and the day went like magic!

Today i have tried to get ontop of the washing and cleaning and i have done that! but left no time 4 crafty stuff at all :( Boo Hoo i say!

Gunna bath the kiddies and get them into bed ASAP and then maybe just maybe i can get a little play time! Hubby has just bought halo 3 so i know he will be "quiet" this evening hehehe

NORTY TINKER !!!

Ok i am now officially a BAD BLOGGER!!

this week has been manic to say the least! We went to the Yorkshire moors for the weekend on a Pie And Peas weekend - see here hubbys Blog it was when the paramotorists of the UK meet up and camp in a fiels ontop of a mountain 1000 foot up!! with no electricity or loos or anything really LOL anyway everyone enjoyed!

Then there was our weekly challenge on UKS -

It's the turn of the Norty Crew to challenge you this week, and we have not gone for the usual dates and times meanings, instead we have gone for elements that we like to scrap with. So here is the spec for you this week;

We want you to scrap any other size than 12x12 - 15 points

and we want you to use ribbon - 5 points

and thats it! We are really looking forward to seeing all your creations ... happy scrapping Smile :)

so have been inendated with writting comments on the fab tastic LOs that got made!

Then i have to start 2 CJs !!! OMG crafting is gunna have to take over b4 housew**k i think! i also have Mums invites OOS and place names ect ect to do! OMG writting it down freaks me out!

and the BIGGEST thing is i actually start work tomorrow!!! YEAH i know i know its been 8 years since i did an honest days work :( Kiddies seem to have taken over!

BUT its now my turn! (although i have not been a layabout for the past 8 years - ok k yeah i have i have crafted myself silly PMSL and helped run hubbys business *wink*

so today i went to get some new clothes (very basic stuff) to wear as i deceided i had nothing suitable!

Challenge 4 - Papercraft Junkies

This week is Melissa's (ME!!!!!) turn to pick a subject - 'Who are our family?

I love my MIL to bits and have made her a journal and journal jar to record memories in. This idea of this came from wondering about her life many years ago, wondering what she got up to when she was younger. So i devised a plan and made this jar full of questions for her to answer in the journal, she can pic one out stick it to the page and journal about it! In 30/40 years time my kiddies will know the answers to these question and not have to wonder like i do.

I hope you can all join in with this challenge and find out who are our family?

It maybe an interview with an older member? and record it via a LO , or record your family tree, or even start a journal with your findings about your family .... the theme is open to all interpretations!

What a week!

Well i have had two trips to A&E with the "baby"

1st trip ~ he walkes into the prong on the saftey gate stright in his eye!!!
he burst all the blood vesstles and he looked a right mess!

2nd trip ~ he fell on Sat night while we were at a BBQ over friends house, smacked his head on the gate ~ another right mess ...They wanted to shave his hair to put stitches in it, and i said "nooooooo" you cant do that he starts school Tuesday LOL LOL so they ended up glueing it, and giving me butterfly stitches thingies to bring hi=ome incase it opened hehehe









FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL TODAY !!!!!

the "baby" did not look back after he went in bless his cottons!
I hope hes ok! hes on his lunch as we speak LOL aaaaawwwww i miss him :(



DD went in with a skip in her step too, she loves school i am so lucky! x

New addition to the Family ....

been so busy this week, with 2 CJ entries and 2 LOs and a few cards, but cant show any boo hoo :(

anywhoooooo we have a new addition to our family ... please meet Harry the Rabbit





We adopted him (or rescued him) from a centre and brought him home aaawwww i hear you say, he is fabby u know!
The kiddies love him, and so do i, hes so sweet and funny!
so he has been taking up allot of my time this week, making sure hes ok and setting in well.

How could i forget!

Star Gazing

Well well well what a night!!!

Hubby me and DD were out in the garden from 10.30ish until 1am !!!

we saw LOTS of shooting stars! its an experience i will neva forget

or our neighbours for that matter ....

Mark (the DS of nextdoor) came out to find the cat (hes housesitting while his M&D are away for 3 weeks) and found me, hubby and DD all sat on the kiddies little cottage roof with a Double duvet PMSL!

he could not beleive his eyes he laughed till he nearly fell over! he even rang his GF to tell her PMSL!

We will be the talk of the street today LOL

We all went to the zoo for the day and OMG how did i enjoy!!!













Well what can i say except WAW!! Lise it was a privelage to meet you and your beautiful son, thanks allot for coming up, cant wait to do it again xxx (just need a bit of confidence on the motorway)

A trio of Melon with cumberland air-dried ham, fresh figs and a port and ginger wine syrup


Main -

Escalopes of pork fillet served with gruyere potatoes, sauteed leeks, glazed carrots, smoked bacon and a cumberland mustard sauce flavoured with peppercorns

Desert - same as me

and we wahed it all down with a fab bottle of Verdelho (which we had it served and had to taste it b4 the would pour it in our glass :lol:)

all i can say is WAW!! It was an experience i will remember for many years to come!

Hubbys Anniversary Present

Its our 1st anniversary on the 29th July - and with the tradition being paper ... well what more could i do! LOL

Ok, the pain has gone from my arm YE HA! still very tender but no pain!

I have also been to the docs to see about my ongoing health issues, and been today for more bloods.
Results in 3-5 days :)

Fingers crossed for good news, i really need some! fed up of negative stuff! I ned a positive impact to make me feel a little better!

Last night we went geocaching :)
Had awesome time finsing the cashe, the kiddies and dog had a ball! But sill me forgot the dam camera DOH!

well i had mine put in 2 and 1/2 years ago, i went yesterday to get it out and OMG giving birth was less painful! I SWEAR!!

so sorry for not being a good blogger but i am in a little bit of pain shall we say!

I had 2 docs and a nurse all diggin around in my arm for 25 mins to try and get the dam thing out, how i neva punched one of them i neva know, i am a tough old boot (had no pain releif giving birth to my 2nd), but by gawd this hurt!!!

Fabby Weekend!

Well first my Mum turned up on Thursday with my step dad and niece gawd it was fab to see them all :)

It was Aidans Brithday on Friday, he turned the BIG 3!!!

So we had 25 visitors for a BBQ in he rain hehehe
we did have a gazeebo come marquie type thingie tho, so no-one got wet!

Aidy's hayfever caught up with him tho, quite sad, as he looked like he did 10 rounds with FB in the ring by 9 bless his cottons!

WAT A BL**DY WEEK!!!

Well what can isay!

Went for my driving test this morning and failed AGAIN!!!
at the very end of the test again a BMW pulled out so fast onto the roundabout he ended up right behind me, so examiner failed me cause i should have waited :(

and thats it! only 3 minor faults but because they classed that last one as a serious i automatically failed! i need a stiff drink!!

and my darling son, has developed bad hayfever




and its his birthday on Friday :) Hope he is feeling a bit better bless his cottons!

Oh Dear!

Yesterday i stood up for myself when normally i wouldnt!

A few friendships have been put to the test and most have come out stronger than before but i am afraid to say one didn't!

I made myself ill over all of this (i was physically sick late last night), i really cant go into too much deatail because it may stir up something else, but i am still in shock over it all i think :(

THE scrapping bug is back!!

Well i have been a buzy bee today :)
Its my sisters birthday on the 17th so thought i shall make her a mini book :)
She is pregnant at the min (2nd child) and is having a bit of a rough time - we don't normally buy pressies so i am hoping to cheer her up with this one!

OH DEAR !!

ok well i failed my test - boo hoo

I did everything spot on, turn in the road, emergency stop, left hand reverse, and my driving was the best its eva been !!!

BUT at the traffic light turning right to go into the test centre at the VERY END of the dam test, i was apparently too close to the bus!!!! Dam bus!!!!

and thats it! instant fail cause it was dangerous :(

Oh well, chin up ay!

i have even re-booked a new test - its a month away tho, as they have nothing sooner :(

OK "THE" dress has turned up today! A bit late, but i love it, so wont be sending it back teehee

Been driving this morning, one lesson left b4 the big day!!


Today went great! Nothing went wrong, my bay park was spot on!!! YE HAH LOL


and I just know I will be asked to do a bay park and parallel park too in my test they are the 2 of my manoeuvres that can be either spot on or absolutely naff !!!

A little lad got knocked over right outside my house yesterday afternoon, he was only 5 bless him :( Just goes to show, no matter where you live, busy or quiet street the roads are always dangerous!!

The car (or bus as i call it) is so different to drive than the one i am learing in!!! Will take a bit of getting used to i tell ya!

Right my card and magnets have come for my Mums STD cards, so i am going to try and get them done for her today!

Well i thought today would never end!

I feel so rough i cant even begin to describe!
My head hurts, my throat hurts my whole body aches get the picture??? hehehe

This PC is driving me insane, the dam thing is sooooooooooo slow its unreal!
I could put my fist through it i tell ya!!

anyway enough moaning hehehe

Paul is outside with Aidy trying to get him to pedal his bike hehe its so funny, he pedal backwards fine, then when he goes forwards he pushes with one foot then returns it to push again with the same pedal LOL!

I am now going to run a bath, i need to soak my bones!

Well its 3:44 AM !!!!!!!

This silly cough is doing my head in!! my sore throat is a bit better but i cant sleep a wink because i keep coughing!!

So i have just made a brew, drunk it in record time, and am browsing UKS.

Any suggestions welcome to get a good night sleep!

I did however nearly finish my mystery kit for the UKS MH CC, Doubt it will win any prizes but i am pleased with it! I will update with a pic when i am allowed to!

OK i might go try some scrapping to take my mind of this SILLY COUGH GGGGGRRRRRRR

Well, it was a quick one cause i had it in the same week it needs to be passed on! But was quite happy with the result!

I am just doing another as we speak, its Lou's CJ (UKS Team CJ) its a really different CJ, and am enjoying it! Cant upload a pic tho, incase she sees it hehe

I also had my mystery kit delivered today! (UKS Cyber Crop) mmmhhhh now what to do with it . . . . .

Well been driving today! Had great lesson too!!

Did all the 60mph roads today! GAWD it felt great to get over 30 hehehe

also asked if i could have a few more extra lessons as my test is now very close! and Gail says i dont need any so fingers crossed ay!!! I have another lesson on Thursday and we do manovueres and then the following week will be my last beofre i take the actual test!!! OMG i cant wait u know!!!

First blog post eva - and about time i hear u say!

Well i have had this blog now for ages and ages and neva thought about writting in it hehehe!!

One of the reasons was that i dont think i could keep it up! Well we shall see ay!

Got a driving lesson in the morning ... fingers crossed it goes well .... my first in nearly 2 weeks, wonder if i will have a good lesson or not?
